Principles of managment?

In management today, there is significant emphasis on the use and development of teams to achieve improved productivity. Do you see teams in operation around where you work? What might you think your managers have done or could do better to improve the use and productivity of teams?

Answer:
In my shop.. when I am tasked to do something I always try to work with someone. Working as a team makes the work faster and more efficient.
To increase productivity within teams, it's essential to identify strengths and weaknesses,and plan to use both to improve the team . If we only focus on strength and never softness you create brittleness.You must allow the true character for each team member to shine. Sometimes we mistake gentleness for weakness,shyness for lack of intelligence. You as a manager need these characteristic or you'd have a team of bulls in a china shop. Managers need to know their team and where each ones strength lies.
