Parametric statistcs?

Answer:
Suppose that you are doing some study in total US population. However, you can not conduct a research based on total population. So, you choose a popultaion of certain group out from the entire population of US.

So, the total population of US in statics term constitutes "Population" or "Universe" and the populaton of cetain group constitutes "Sample"

The statistics related to "Population" is called Parametic Statistics and that related with sample is called " Sample Statics"

Where you can not seggregate the statics into "Population" and Sample, it is called "Non parametric Statics". For example, the survey in road accident in particular juction and statics coming out from your oberservation is "non parametric statics."
Parametric stats are more powerful tests that can only be used when the following assumptions are true: they both come from normal distributions, their varience is the same, both populations ahve the same degree of error, and you are using numbers on a interval or ratio (i.e. your numbers must have an absolute zero.)
