Earnings Data for India.?

Can anyone give me breakup of what people earn annually in India by percentages. I am trying to understand India in terms of its financial capabilities.

The data I am looking for is something in this format -

0 to 20 % earn less than or equal to Rs. 5000
20 to 30 % earn greater than Rs. 5000 and less than Rs.20000
and so on.

Answer:
India has around 100,000 dollar ($) millionaires (it came in the local newspaper today itself!) that is around 0.01% of its population - since Indians live by and large in joint families, you can multiply the amount by 5 so around 0.05

40% of India's population lives under a $ a day, i.e. Rs.40/day or < Rs. 1200/month; the extreme poor people

We have a Middle class of around 300 million which earns a median income of Rs. 8000-25000 per month

There is a 5% Upper Middle class population with earnings in the range of Rs. 50,000 and above.

The rest may be less than the middle class as on top but richer than the dollar a day people
