How has NAFTA affected Mexican workers in American Owned Companies?

Answer:
i don't think this person is asking about immigration at all. NAFTA does afffect workers in Mexico, because many American companies can, since the signing of NAFTA, outsource jobs to Mexico. While this does provide jobs for Mexican workers, they are not secure and pay very low wages. People, particularly women, work in "maquiladoras", or free-trade zones, for long hours, little pay, and in poor conditions. Basically, it means that people in Mexico are forced off their land into shantytowns next to the factories (whic by the way spew toxic waste into the drinking water and surrounding environment), getting paid pennies on the dollar, while big corporations like Disney make huge profits. Oh and by the way all the American workers in the manufacturing industries get laid off.
NAFTA is a trade agreement and has nothing to do with immigration.
