Depends on the condition and what you can get for it.
The 1913 buffalo nickel came in two varieties with three mints each producing both. The two varieties are raised mound and flat mound. Look on the back of the coin, (with the buffalo), and look at the ground he is standing on. The flat ground type looks like the word five cents is recessed into the coin, the raised mound is just printed on it. Now, under the words five cents is the mint mark. If there is no mark, then it is Philadelphia. A D is for Denver, and an S is for San Francisco. Type 1 is very much in demand since it was the only year the raised mound was produced, but the Type 2 S mint is one of the keys to the set, (and very expensive). The grade is also going to play a huge role here. I would say the value will be between $2 and $1,000's depending upon all of these factors. If you do not know coins, talk to a local coin collector or dealer to help you out. They can tell you what you have.
P.S. Do not EVER sell a coin you know nothing about to a dealer. The temptation can be just too great for him to give you $100 for a $3000 coin. I am not picking on coin dealers, but any collectibles. ALWAYS get at least two opinions concerning grade and value, preferably one from a disinterested party.
