fish stocks are being depleted world wide - alot of people blame "overfishing" but the real problem is too many people eating fish - thus forcing over fishing
I doubt encouraging hunting would help the economy either - YET (and I am an animal lover) I feel that in many ways hunted animals have better life than an animal who was kept in an over crowded feed lot then taken to suffer at the slaughter house before meeting a horrible end there- as such I believe hunting is MORE "animal friendly" except that hunters take the strongest animals (biggest antlers etc) leaving the weaker ones to breed and continue the species...
Why are you asking a question about murdering other living beings? This is like asking if the persecution of the Jews was maintained (?) would it help the Nazi economy? You are seriously disturbed.
Oh, and saying hunted wild animals are better off than animals dying in slaughterhouses is a bit like saying Jews who were worked to death were better off than Jews dying in the gas chambers. There are some absolutes in this world; it's too bad most can't see that humans and "animals" are all living beings.
Might i suggest you think of using those resources wisely(meaning conservatively). Conservative usage of our wildlife is going to be beneficial for all. Nor should they be tied to this existing economy. Offered conservative protection by it, yes, but not to benefit it in any way,shape or form.
