Is the US economy in trouble?
Answer:
It all depends on weather you are a liberal or conservative!
A conservative would insist the growth of the Dow Jones and the very low unemployment rate indicate a strong vibrant economy. They would scratch their heads in wonderment as to the sanity of one who could question the economy.
A liberal would say the export of jobs, factories and industries has been instrumental in a declining standard of living. They would add that Americans are experiencing a further loss of income due to a wave of illegal immigrants who erode wages while adding heavy social costs as they demand schools, hospitals and other social benefits. Finally, a liberal would say the FED has overproduced dollars, and in this process created the housing dilemma, a devaluation of the dollar and substantial inflationary pressures.
I'm an optimist who would like to think the conservatives are right, but I'm also a realist who knows that our leaders can not continue to rape America for the sake of an expedient profit without ultimately paying the price. I think our economy is in BIG TROUBLE!
You just noticed!
Dollar on the floor - Bush reviled around the world.
Till Bush goes you bet the economy is in trouble and even after he goes it is going to be a long haul to get it back to pre-Bush heights!
Yes. Thanks to Bush and his plundering ways, we now have the largest national debt in the history of mankind, one that we will be paying back dearly for in diminished social stability and educational quality through our grandchildren's lives. Thanks to Conservatives, we have allowed fringe religious groups, in a sleazy exchange for their votes, to dumb down our public schools so much that today our average high school graduate cannot pass the math and science required on new pre-employment tests in the global job market. Without strong math and science curriculums, we cannot produce enough engineers to maintain the true foundation of an economy . . . research and development and innovations. Thanks to bigots who have crusaded for "English Only", our college graduates can no longer compete in the global economy for jobs because they speak "Only English", whereas candidates for the same jobs from other more advanced nations who have several languages under their belts are beating out our young for management level positions. Without Americans in professional, management positions in international companies, we as a nation will and already have lost considerable advantage. And, thanks to Republicans who have promoted and tolerated the hiring of undocumented workers for several generations in order to avoid paying American workers a legal and decent wage, the standard of living for U.S. workers is crashing and will continue to crash in a planned "equalization" with the standard of living and pay with all other wage-slaves in the world. And, thanks to feeble-minded bigots who tolerated the criminal hiring of undocumented workers for years in order to have a second-class citizenry to exploit, and, who now focus their cowardice and fear on the Mexican worker rather than on the Big Boys, efforts to unite workers from both Mexico and the U.S. with Canadian workers, in order to have the clout to demand labor representation in N.A.F.T.A, and the North American Union, are being foiled for sick, bigoted jollies.

.
"YES"!
1. The wars are bankrupting the nation.
2. High fuel prices are going to be added into every item that depends on fuel for power.
3. High home prices are making homes unaffordable, to buyers.
4. As the prices on homes have sky-rocketed, expect property taxes to go up.
All this is caused by too much money being pumped into the system by your friendly Federal Reserve Banking System.
Can this be cleaned up?
Well, Ron Paul may not look like it but he's an EXPERT economist. He has written several books on the causes of inflation.
Join the "Grass Roots" movement to get him elected in the next election, and he with the help of the other legislators can turn the giant ship U.S. S. America around.
