Are u sure that we are in the era of 'Globalization' or, is it a mere intrusion?

Answer:
Globalization is a good thing; in no way is it intrusion. How can it be intrusion if there is a bold invitation? Does anyone resist paying less money for a good? The United States needs foreign investment. Our national savings rate was negative in 2005. People need to finance homes and cars. Our economy needs people to purchase homes and cars. Businesses need new investment to grow. Our economy needs businesses to grow and to innovate. To give you a "for instance", if businesses don't grow and new businesses cannot borrow because of a lack of funds, how are we to create jobs for our increasing labor force? There is no reason to be cynical about globalization. Are you afraid the US is in route to losing its supremacy? It seems this is the reason so many Americans despise globalization. Have you ever met a German against it? How about India of China? We want low prices; that is natural. So then, globalization is natural. We asked for it and we got it. Now we need to step it up and invest in science and engineering to stay competitive. This will create new technology so that productivity can increase. Equilibrium is not a point rather it is a place the market heads towards before things change and a new equilibrium is found.
what we generally know about globalisation is not correct. Look at the globe. There are a number of countries with no facilities for life no similar opportunities to survive and no bridges to reach the resources world wide. There are stll hungry peolpe around us with all sorts of hunger. Those who have, are more hunger than those of have not. We are far away from the path of universilasation as I go not believe in this sort of globalisation
Yes, according to all media accounts, we're in the "Era of Globalization." Now. the real question is, what does that mean?

Is globalization only about commerce? Economically, powerful corporations have extended their reach to all points on the globe, enriching the wealthy, exploiting 3rd world workers (with no small help from their own governments) and generally making the world safe for capitalism. (That's the word, by the way, that US leaders mean to use when they say "Make the world safe for democracy.")

Is the WTO the prime mover of globalization? (If so, let's move off this planet while there's still time.)

Or is globalization about international communication? I sure hope so. Politically oppressed Chinese, "People Power" Activists in Metro Manila, and aggrieved peasants in Cochabamba, Bolivia, use the tools of globalization to organize & network.

Or is globalization about the spread of participatory democracy? Media reformation?

I think it's up to us --through international discourse venues like this one here -- to decide how globalization can be a boon to humanity, rather than a tool of its demise.
Globalization to me is removal of trade barriers to promote all regions of the world trading with the rest of the world. Trade always looks for relative advantage. Enhance fulfillment of need at lower cost. For all the hue and cry in the advanced nations, about outsourcing, they do try to get goods and services at lower cost. The people in advanced countries will lose their jobs to those in less developed countries with comparable skills. The rich in rich countries can buy goodies from poor countries, denying the poor common man in these parts from economic access to these goodies. We are in this era. Developing countries are negotiating their stance through WTO to maintain some balance.
