Are there examples of highly economically developed countries with no minimum wage?
If you would like to tell me about how this functions versus countries with minimum wage, then please do. Please DO NOT post theoretical answers of what SHOULD happen. Only post answers please of what is actually happening in such countries. Thank you.
Answer:
We never had a minimum wage in Britain until a few years ago, it was a Blair govt idea. The economy functioned fine. Of course when the min wage came in there was an increase in pay for some people in catering, in security (guards, etc) and other low-end jobs.
I think you'll find they still don't have one in New Zealand.
