Why rich Africans ; poor ?
But Africans are poor , they recieve gifts from all the world . thousands die every year while they are triyng to cross the sea to Europe . Where's the problem ?

Well yes of course Africa has a huge amount of natural resources such as oil, diamonds and gold, however the vast majority of these resources are still controlled by international companies from their former colonial rulers eg British Petroleum, De Beers.
Not enough time to get into the other reasons but just to list a few: corrupt government, lack of suitable investment climate, high tax rates, high levels of external debt ( need to pay debt so have high taxes which reduces consumption, trade barriers eg EU's CAP.
corruption... most african countries are corrupted.. and that's why africans try to go to europe. they can do much better, but they have to choice but to leave their coutries. what can one do when the whole entire continent is corrupted?? that's very sad. hope it will change for the better. and that's why europeans need to help africans and try to use their influence to change the politics in africa
mineral resources are the problem.
A government with a small police force can easily take control them, keep all the profits, and give nothing to the rest of the people.
Country gets developed when there are no easy ways of making money, and government has to develop manufacturing or service industries in order to make some money.
