my best friend had to move back there last fall and she claims it to be a shallow, and miserable existance.

To all first time visitors to malaysia and potential tourist to malaysia.

Beware of racial profiling while in malaysia.
If you happens to look like an black african,chinese from china, indian,indonesian,burmese..ple... beware of racial profiling by the malaysian government.

They will just arrest you and detains you for several hours even you have valid papers/documents.
Most recent case involved american blacks, and an indian documentary director detained by RELA and police.
