Why we need to bring out sector wise GDP?

why we need to calculate it?

Answer:
Because to say "GDP is up 4% over last year" is not a very helpful measure of what's going on in the economy. It is much more informative to break down where activity is increasing or decreasing.

By the same token, when preparing financial reports of business activity, to simply say "Cash increased by $110,000 in the third quarter" does not provide nearly as useful information as: "The cash increase of $110,000 can be attributed to $255,000 generated in operations, $85,000 consumed in investing (of which $60,000 was dividends paid), and $60,000 consumed in financing (to retire senior debt)"

The more detailed the information, the better the picture of what's going on and where. To be very helpful, sector-wide GDP should be broken down into regions or even states where possible.
