barely even a chocolate bar, it can probably entertain you for five minutes, thirty minutes tops... but it can by like two three oranges. it can buy you about a day or more of knowledge, considering how much newspapers cost.
we use a lot more dollars today so now, one dollar doesnt do you much
In relation to what? You have to be more specific. It's value in relation to other currencies is always in flux, and there are sites that report that in real time. It's value in relation to it's own past value depends on which year you choose as a frame of reference, and to get that , you'd have to choose a benchmark year. One such benchmark would be 1973, when the value of the dollar was no longer based on the value of silver, for which it could be redeemed, theoretically. I couldn't find that with a quick search, but one site I found estimated todays dollar to be worth a little more than 5 1914 cents.
