What are some ill effects technology has on today's society?

examples on the bad effects of technology

Answer:
Technology thru communication has had its ill effects. We now feel pressure to get things done more and more efficiently. This sound like a great goal, but at what costs. I can't relax without e-mails, pagers, cell phones, etc. all barking for my attention. With current technology my employer can use a satellite communication device to see where my car is located and what I'm doing. Our children forget to go outside and ride bikes on a sunny day! They want to play video games that are like the "real thing", and watch TIVO, so that even commercials can't reduce the efficiency of watching TV. We want to vote immediately on who is the best amongst a group of singers on TV. In other words it can add to stress just as much as it can take away from stress.
How about cars, they have increased productivity astronomically. But they also have allowred for much more easily accessed privacy which causes for a humungous increase in permiscuious behavor, now today there are millions of people fornicating and producing kids outside of marriage outside of a family. Thousand of abondoned kids, mistreated, abused, millions more "taken care of" by extermination within the womb. Guilt, pain, loneliness. Is the sufferage of the children worth the ability to feed them everyday, even to the point of obesity, and to drown their loneliness with X-box, TV, Computers in their room, where they are subject to the Porn industries pushes to make them commit the same mistakes as their parents?
