I would consider people with green cards and work visas 'imported' labor. Also, I would consider corporations who open up shop abroad and use local labor (not to mention other supplies, raw materials), or who contract out labor abroad to other countries to be using 'imported' labor. When are we going to learn that to benefit the few in this country is exploitative not only to U.S. labor, but labor everywhere. And yes, labor should be considered a commodity, so please, no retarded answers describing how I am a communist or what this does to the price structure of goods. A very healthy economy can be produced by getting more money in the hands of consumers (most of us are laborers and consumers - it is delusional to think otherwise).
Retarded 'free-market' people out there, there are laws regulating the taxation, acquisition, distribution, and safety of commodities, why do we want to 'roll back' such things with labor laws? Don't tell me this isn't happening right in front of us..

yes! only if your unemployment is high. u have to see if unemployment is artificial as some are just lazy to work and dependent on welfare. corporations have a business concern going. its profits - dollars and sense and cents hence they may not be able to survive without labour be it local or imported. levy / tariff introduced should be peculiar to the industry and not willy-nilly. it should not be too high as to discourage enterprise nor too low that it has no impact on recruitment. this is a tough thing to do by the labour department.
