Which is much better?

which is much better, socialism or capitalism? serious answers please...

Answer:
Throughout history there have been two basic forms of social organization: collectivism and individualism.

Socialism is the social system which institutionalizes envy and self-sacrifice: It is the social system which uses compulsion and the organized violence of the State to expropriate wealth from the producer class for its redistribution to the parasitical class.

Despite the intellectuals’ psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.

Capitalism is the only moral system because it requires human beings to deal with one another as traders--that is, as free moral agents trading and selling goods and services on the basis of mutual consent.

Capitalism is the only just system because the sole criterion that determines the value of thing exchanged is the free, voluntary, universal judgement of the consumer. Coercion and fraud are anathema to the free-market system.

It is both moral and just because the degree to which man rises or falls in society is determined by the degree to which he uses his mind. Capitalism is the only social system that rewards merit, ability and achievement, regardless of one’s birth or station in life.

Yes, there are winners and losers in capitalism. The winners are those who are honest, industrious, thoughtful, prudent, frugal, responsible, disciplined, and efficient. The losers are those who are shiftless, lazy, imprudent, extravagant, negligent, impractical, and inefficient.

Capitalism is the only social system that rewards virtue and punishes vice. This applies to both the business executive and the carpenter, the lawyer and the factory worker.
In my humble opinion, socialism.
B/tween the two... Capitalism..it deals in people having to learn bout one another for common causes like trade and such...

Socialism deals in ppl fending for themselves and having free will and waht not

so..Socialism
Capitalism, as it exists today in America, is not something that one should be happy with. The level of corporate power and greed that dominates our political and economic systems is appalling. Look who runs the government: lawyers and business folks who went to ivy league schools, who now find themselves in power because their parents were rich and powerful (see George W.) Money is power and when you have power, you often find your money and/or power increasing. There is no corporate respect for the environment and there is no respect for human rights in third world countries where our products are made. There are definitely winners and losers; think about all the people in the United States in poverty. More tax cuts for the rich please! Or maybe more wasteful, no-bid contracts for Haliburton in Iraq please! I think we could be a lot better off (each one of us, I like to think on a more inclusive, collective scale than just on a cutthroat, selvish, individualized level). America is a good and prosperous place, but the prosperity needs to be felt by more. People shouldn't have to work three jobs. People shouldn't have to choose between food and medicine.
it depends (the classic econ answer)
what do you want
equality or a high standard of living

socialism will get you equality (assuming the socialist in charge is really concerned about citizens) but you will pay for it with a lower overall standard in living. this is due to prices not being a signal so there is no way to determine the real preferences that people have at least until we develop the mind reading device.

capitalism will get you an overall higher standard of living, but it is based on productivity so those bringing the most value to an economy will receive the most of the output. prices signal want people want so it is known what people value so more goods are brought to the economy
