India , economics is climbing fast will they be a super power one day say like America?

Answer:
Only if it can get its population down to about a quarter or less of current levels. Otherwise, the ludicrous population (and numerous associated problems, including corruption at all levels) will cripple any attempts by India to become a superpower. The population is the key. There is no way India will ever become a superpower if the population stays the same. Actually, India will start to regress after the population reaches a certain level in years to come.

To address others: China will become a superpower like the way the USSR was. A poseur superpower, like the kids that were on the fringes/outskirts of the in crowd in high school. You know...meaning that you pretend you are a big shot, but you are still copying the cool kids' (capitalists) gear and style every chance you get. The USSR spent half its time and money trying to steal American technology and ideas. Hey... what a coincidence, that's what the Chinese do today! Fidel Castro hates capitalists, but loves his Adidas jumpsuits. Red nations have always been copycats in denial. A communist dominated planet would be one of the least innovative and dull places in the universe.
In 30 years time...India and China will be the worlds leading economies.

The oil of the middle east will be drying up so the American economy is the most vulnerable in the world.
They will. they have all it takes.
Population, intelligent and hard working people. they are making advances in technology and the younger generation is inquisitive: wanting to know what the west knows. They are highly communial too, So they will make it. if u remember their film industry is 2nd to America's hollywood, they are building their nuclear capacity too. so they will some day.
There are different types of superpower.
Japan, for example, rose from the ashes of World War II to become an economic superpower. The rest of Asia, such as Korea and China, envy Japan. They want to be like Japan.
Then there is military superpower...lots of high-tech military equipment and all.but remember, the more high-tech super weapons a country has, the more humiliating it is to be defeated by a Third World country such as during the Vietnam War, or in the 1990s in Mogodishu.
I would say there is also such a thing as a cultural superpower. Great Britain, for example, has exerted a tremendous cultural influence upon the world.
It is inevitable. India will keep it's poverty for some so they will always have cheap labor. In order to compete America would need to do the same thing and it will not. In China at the MP3 factory I know the staff live in dorms and get $10- a month. Eventually nothing will be done in the US.

India and China do not pay the same amount for education, liability insurance, paved roads. street lights and infrastructure. The truth is, if labor in the US was free the US still could not compete. US companies cannot pollute with the same impunity, this is a huge advantage. The Christian Bible says "The last shall be first and the first last."

Super power? Relatively speaking after the US is taken down a couple of notches.
Perhaps but India has a long way to do. The last ten years of rapid growth is because the government finally allowed the private sector to flourish instead of burdening it with oppressive government regulation. But India still has one of the worst environments for the private sector.

According to a World Bank study, "Doing Business 2007," which ranks countries according to ten major characteristics of the business environment, India ranks only 138 out of 175 countries.

For example, it takes 41 days to get a container full of imports through customs. It takes more than a month for an entrepreneur to get the 11 government permits before he can start a business. Worst of all, it takes a year and half before the courts will decide on a contract dispute between two businesses. The government seems to go out its way to make life difficult for a businessman. This also encourages corruption because the businessman has to offer bribes to speed up the process.
maybe. lets live our lives and see whether it does. china will become a super power before india. i think india would probably be more of a economic super power than a military superpower cause india has never invade any country before and has gandi philosphies.
