An issue of international trade?

how does it affect the U.S. economy and vice versa

Answer:
International trade occurs when one country has a comparative advantage in producing good X and its trading partner has a comparative advantage in producing Y. Thus, the countries both benefit by trading X for Y. Prices of both X and Y will fall, and purchasing power of both countries will increase since resources (labor and capital) are being used more efficiently.
