What would your life be like in one year if someone gave you $250,000 today?
There are no rules you can spend the money any way you want.
Just imagine what you would do with it and what your life would be like in a year.
Answer:
Exactly the same, I'd just have 250k in a mutual fund.
really great!! my life would be alot easier.
i dunno...how much interest would 250,000 draw in a year? i would be that much richer!
Thats not a lot of money, not enough to change my life in any way.
out of debt. and a few bucks to spend
I think my life would be the same, not saying I am already rich, I just wouldn't spend it all at one time. I would put it in a bank and cherish it. If that much money changes a person, than they shouldn't have it in the first place. Money does not change everything and it will never. I know that we need it to make it in this world but some people go over board on things they don't even need to spend it on. If you see what I am saying. Thanks for the question though keep them coming.
i would be dead! plain and simple i wouldn't make it a whole year.
id most definitely buy properties, stocks and shops and quadruple it
the good thing about having 250k is that u don't have to worry about it being a loan or paying any interest :)
I'd probably take 1/10th of that and spend it on whatever i want, video games, computers.
take about 6/10 and put it in the bank and go up by interest.
and take the remainingg 3/10 into investments, stock, bonds, etc.
i'm 15 years old =)
it would be so wonderful..i would buy a car
A most important question, and a really interesting one...I must congratulate you on this question!
It represents a big leap forward for many people, perhaps about 80% of the population.
Although a considerably small sum in the overall spectrum of money, amazingly very few people have that much money hanging around.
So, if someone were to suddenly receive this amount of money, they can do several things with it that would put them in a better situation...like a down payment on a good home...a start on a good investment program with small increments over time...a new wardrobe and maybe a makeover.
This amount of money would do wonders for many average people.
It could even cure diseases. It could bring families back together. It could start small businesses.
Many have to save over a lifetime just to acquire a small sum like this.
The ironic part is that they seldom get to enjoy their struggle to save this much, and some lose it to nursing homes...which makes their life's strife all in vain.
Nice question...a quarter of a million dollars in these highly inflated times where home prices are ridiculous and jobs don't pay squat!
It's what everyone needs today!
I missed the point...what would MY LIFE be like?
I'd give it all away to friends and family and watch them enjoy it. I'd also give more to solid charities...but I would scrutinize them carefully...making sure it gets to those in real need.
I'd love it of course; but that's not a tenth of what I'd need to make real changes. the inflated price of a house is more than that in most states. And even invested at 3 3/4 percent--the miserable return rate in banks--it would give us less than $9,000 more a year as interest. So, I would have to use some of it for the trip I've always planned around the edge of Europe, and to Britain and the Greek isles. Then I'd use som of the rest to try to sell my writings, and the last portion to try to make more money by intelligent risks, so we could perhaps have some security after a lifetime of injustice and never having a decent income.
