Question about 220v power converters.?

I'm traveling to the UK for the first time. Here in the US, I use a power strip to plug in all my things into one outlet. I hear that there's not an abundance of outlets there, plus I'm staying in a hostel where sharing is inevitable. Is there a way for me to plug in at least two applicances into one outlet? Could I bring a smallish power strip and plug it into my 220v converter? Thanks so much!!

Answer:
yes of course you can plug in a power strip! But make sure you have a CONVERTER and not just an adaptor. If you only use an adaptor, you're still getting 220 so make sure what you plug in will take 220. If you have an actual converter then you can plug anything in to it. But yes, power strips are fine.
Mr A is correct.

Just be sure you know the capacity of your converter. By using a power strip, it wouldn't be hard to plug in too many items and fry your converter (or worse...)
