How long to "bell" insulators last?

Answer:
Until they fall apart. Are you refering to the old-fashioned insulators? The old glass ones would essentially last until broken; the somewhat newer ceramic ones would, when really old, start to crumble; the same with the older plastic ones. After awhile, they would "dry out" and crumble.
If you are talking about the glass bell insulators -- then for ever.
