I want to sit for Indian Engg. Service Exams in mechanical Engg. Can anyone suggest me some good books?

Answer:
Hi Dude!

Mechanics, the best I know is
"Engineering Mechanics",Statics and Dynamics, by J.L. Meriam.

John Wiley&Sons, Inc

A very good handbook is
"Dubbel", Taschenbuch fur den Mashinenbau. Springer-Verlag Berlin, Heidelberg and New Yourk.

There is an English edition; The handbook
covers it all, most of it anyway.

These books were used at Chalmers, the most known University of Technology in
Sweden.
