Ok well i wanna know wat this would be classified as?

lets just say i wanted to design weapons like guns for the army right? wat kind of job would that be b/c i thought it was a field of engineering, but i looked it up w/ no results and now i'm not so sure...

Answer:
that's mechanical engineering buddy.

one of my mechanical engineering professors worked in the military aircraft department at boeing, one developed bunker-buster bombs and another is currently developing smart-bullets..
Artillery or artillerist, i think.
Go in for engineering and then try to get a job with DARPA.

I would think it might be under Mechanical Engineering
I received my degree in Composite Engineering w/ a Mechanical Option from Winona State University

I have fellow classmates working on tanks for the military, working on aerospace applications, designing baseball bats -- composites are the shiznit and taking over metal.. check it out.
It will come under 'Weaponry Engineering' (Includes control systems... etc).
