How do u find out the capacity of a tank which can either be cylinder, square or rectangle??
Answer:
For each case, find the area of the base or the cross sectional area of the container then multiply by the height. If it's a cylinder, multiply the square of the radius , the value of pi and the height altogether. For the square or rectangular cross section, multiply the length and the width of the base then multiply the product by the height or depth of thetank.
volume of a cylinderical tank = b h = pi *r * r * h
r = radious of cylinder h= height of cylinder - if they are in cms then your result will be in ml, if they are in mt then your results will be in ltr
volume of a rectangular tank = a * b * c
volume of a square tank = a * a * a
