Convert an AutoCAD Body to a 3D Solid?

I drew a 3D drawing in AutoCAD. Parts of it are defined as a body and other parts are defined as a 3D Object if you click on their properties. The parts defined as bodies can't be modified using the Subtract, Union, and Intersect commands. How do I convert the bodies to 3D objects.

Answer:
There should be an extrude feature that will give depth to your object.

There are many ways to change a 2D object into a 3D solid. I currently use AutoCAD 2007 in my everyday use. Polylines are the best tool to make 3D solids. Usually, you will make a shape using the polyline. If the polyline is "closed" it will create a solid, however if not, if will only be a surface. A surface is not a 3D solid. Once you have a solid, you may modify it with union or fillet to manipulate it into the shape you want.

Good luck!
