the electrical activity would depend on which medical problem is being diagnosed. such as electrocardiogram or a gastric problem diagnosed with certain electrical wave lengths.
a electrical shock therapy
If it's static electricity, it's refered to as Electro-Static Discharge or ESD. The "I touched the door handle and ouch!" phenomenon. Any other electrical discharge is simply discharge, at least in EE it is.
