How many aluminum pop cans can you stack in a one-can-wide tower?

Answer:
. Check out this site @ http://www.cancentral.com/funfacts.cfm... ; "...Aluminum cans have amazing strength. Four six-packs (24 cans) can hold a 4,000-pound aluminum-bodied sedan. ... 1 pound of aluminum makes approximately 29.51 cans-..."
So each can can hold up (4K / 24 = 166.7 lbs, the 'crush strength').
Each can weighs ( 16 oz /29.51 = .542 oz). So if the bottom can can hold up 166.7 lbs, that is 4921 cans. A 12 ox can is 5" high, so the 'tower' would be approx. 24,605 inches high, or 2050 ft. high. ...or 3/8 mile up ! .
depends on the conditions that surround it. could be an infinate amount under the right circumstances. but realisticly, you would have to figure it out by trying it out. my guess is 25.
'x' Cans. It all depends on how tall the tower is.
How many can "I" stack? well, I looked around the house and only found one can, so for tonight anyway, the number is one.
