Welcome to my world. I have 30 years of experience and still can't stay continuously employed. I have tried all the online job sites and find them all mostly useless.

I am now looking for local colleges that teach Solidworks and similar 3d design software, because it's getting increasingly difficult to remain specialized in Autocad. Apparently, Autocad 3d isn't enough. Unfortunately, getting trained in the 3d packages is extremely expensive and impossible without the financial aid available from colleges.

My recomendation: don't get stuck in Autocad-only.
