Yes, there are many alternative fuel vehicles that run on propane. It burns cleaner and you get better mileage. However, the tank is much larger. Propane is mostly used on ton pickup trucks and larger vehicles. The tank is too big to be practical on a little car.

All you need is a propane carborator,lines and a tank. Not really a big deal.
It doesn't get better mpg. but still might save you money if propane is cheaper where you live.
