I need to know what might make Titanium fail in service?

In particular i need to know how Titanium could fail in service when used for a tennis racket. e.g the tennis racket could fracture due to the impact of the tennis ball suggesting the material is too brittle

Thanks

Titanium is susceptible for cracking under vibrations. Vibrations could develop due to impingement of ball on the racket.
