Would it be possible to build a mile-high Lego tower?

Answer:
theoretically, it can be built. If all the pieces are perfectly aligned.

Practically, no. Unless you use a special lego pieces for the base since it will crack with the weight of the tower. The lego tower would surely fall
I'm not sure how high a mile really be, but I know that with a large enough crane strapped to your back constantly pulling you up, does make it possible.
It would be a lot of money getting the crane and all those Lego's though.
No. At some point before you finished you would realize your goals in life are lame and quit.
