Why is a building called a building if its already built ?
Answer:
It's one of the daft ways the English language evolved.
Another question like this is "Why is abbreviation such a long word?" :-)
hmmmm intresting suggest typing into google
hmmm and painting too
You could argue that before that, it's called a building site.
Because it's never quite finished. I know because my house, built in 1937 is in constant repair and change.
I figure that since 1937 more than the original price of the house has been spend on renovations, revamps and new installations.
The original house in 1937 cost £800. I've just spent more than that on a new suspended ceiling in my kitchen.
It never ends.
I am living in a building which sometimes still resembles a building site.
"building" is both a noun, verb and adjective. That is why
its simple, language ruins science, its doesnt make sense and makes everything difficult. maths is a proper language and i seem to recall there are only 7 rules in maths everything else derives from that.
Well.If the building was built you wouldn't have to build it! Er... I think :)
