Is it possible to do a stress analysis of the cam - follower mechanism using FEA package software.?

Is it possible using any of the exixting FEA analysis softwares like ANSYS, Nastran Adams, etc.

Answer:
I don't know about ANSYS or Nastran Adams, but 2 other software packages I use can do a stress analysis (then an FEA, FMEA, or FMECA). They are Relex and Mil-Stress.

If ANSYS or the other package can do a reliability prediction (i.e. based on MIL-HDBK-217) then they certainly can do a stress analysis.
