Genetic engineering humans?

Can anyone tell me the cons of genetically engineering humans?

Answer:
its an idealistic idea which will never work for the following reasons
1) to many flaws (the people who enginer cant get it all right)
2) kinda creepy when all the genetically engerned freaks take over and stick it to the idiots who designed them
3) its a waste of time
actully i just dont agree with it i prefer not to live in a society where everbodys the same diversity is awsome and so is being compeative with engenering you will take the guess work outta life, make everywon equal which is no fun since each individual is diff. and will prosper in thier own light

why would you want everywon the same

jusy my opinion

hope you get an a

wait i couldnt care les im just really unamused right now

peace
More people like George Bush and Al Gore...
Where does the genetic engineering process stop? You can engineer your child to be the perfect athlete. What happens if they'd rather play the violin? What happens to values? What happens to individual wants and desires? Won't everyone be a carbon copy of everyone else, and certain traits that make people unique obliterated because they don't "fit" with the norm? And that barely scratches the surface.
Some have religious things against it. People are not quite doing it yet so we don't know the exact pros and cons. People plan on starting this soon though. You are the way you are for a reason I believe. Don't mess with your kids genetics. I'm not exactly sure how they would do it though. Ya, like he said everyone will just be a copy of someone else. Good point if you make him a genius with no sport skills what happens if he want to go in the NBA or NFL. You threw away his dream. It would be like impossible for him to do that.
Would the farmed humans have the same rights as the rest of us or would they be considered 2nd class citizens? Being born without souls could be another problem. Would it be a crime to assault or even kill one. Could criminal charges be filed against an engineered "person"? What about heaven and hell...where would they fit in?
There are no "cons" for the genetic engineering of human beings. The genetic modification of human beings is totally a good thing and, it should be done.
In my opinion.
