Building a Gazebo, octagon , what is the angle of cut for the frame?



Answer:
I think it's 22.5 degrees. If a square has 4 sides, the cut is 45 degrees, so twice the sides should make the angle 1/2.
try a 22.5 on a test wood first and see what it looks like..
Cut each end of the 8 sides at 22.5 degrees away from 90 deg.

Try it with scraps; you'll see.

This is a regular octagon, of course.
