I want to setup a wireless tracking technology?
i want to make a small sensor that can be kept in a thing(like small box, umbrella etc)and a remote in my hand so that i can detect the thing in which yhe sensor is located
Answer:
In a nutshell, the whole system should work like this:
The tracking device (we'll just call it a bug) must be able to emit a signal at a specific frequency different from that of other electronic devices so interference will be limited. Secondly, this signal must be strong enough so that it may travel far enough to the receiver.
The receiver itself must be able to accept the electronic transmission emitted by the bug. If the bug doesn't send out a strong enough signal, you might not get the signal unless you are right next to the person you're tracking. Also, if your receiver doesn't accept the bug's specific frequency, then the whole system is useless.
Today, the most common and accurate type of tracking system is with the use of Global Positioning Satellites. The best GPS systems use at least 3 satellites in order to accurately locate the tracking device. In order to work properly, the tracking device must be able to emit a strong enough signal that gets relayed to the satellites. The satellites then beam down the location to the receiver.
You might as well just buy the bug and system off the internet.
