Is it possible to generate energy with a peltier plate ?

I am curious if it is possible to instead of putting energy into a peltier plate heating one side and cooling one side and getting energy out of it ?

Answer:
Yes. A Peltier device consists of a number of 'dissimilar metal' thermocouples They produce a tiny amount of energy.each. Measured in microvolts. You won't power much with it.
Put the Peltier Device between two different temperature surfaces and it will produce power.
