What is the step by step process of asbestos removal, experts only, no one timers.?
Answer:
Step 1 The area containing asbestos is sealed off from the external environment to prevent friable or airborn particulate from escaping the work site. For large jobs, it may mean sealing a room, a floor or even a whole building. In small jobs, such as the removal of a small amount of insulation from a single pipe, a simple plastic enclosure around the pipe may be adequate.
Step 2 A negative pressure is maintained in the enclosed area with suction blowers using particulate and HEPA filters to be sure air exhausted to the outside is clean
Step 3 Workers wearing Tyvac suits with hoods and full face respirators with fine particle filters manually scrape any asbestos containing material from whatever substrate it is attached to. The workers must not have facial hair to assure a good seal between the respirator and the face. Often, only non-smokers are hired for the job because asbestos caused lung cancer occurs many times more frequently with smokers than with non-smokers.
Step 4 Often a water spray is used to minimize airborne particulate coming from the removal process; sometimes a water jet is used to do the actual asbestos dislodgement. The water spray is collected, filtered and reused.
Step 5 Vacuums are usually used to collect the asbestos on removal, again with the vented air passing through collectors,\ and particulate and HEPA filters. The advantage of vacuums is that for high rise buildings, the vacuum can be located at street level and serves as a waste conveyance to a central collection point.
Step 6 All asbestos containing waste, both dry and dewatered damp, is bagged in heavy plastic bags clearly marked "asbestos" and transported to one of the few government designated landfills approved for asbestos disposal.
If you want a step by step process i would go to amazon and buy a book on the subject.
Next you need to find out if you must be "certified" to remove it.
Good luck only reason i posted is i don't think anyone else will.
