Refrigeration compressor comparisons?

I am using a compressor manufactured in the US. The company I purchase it from supplies a unit that is assembled in Thailand. What should I consider when I am carrying out comparison tests? They both do the same thing. One is $100 cheaper.

Voltage,phase,hz.and btu's.Others things to watch for would be line size,piping of discharge and suction , mounting.
When doing a comparison test there is more to your query than just cost.
Availability, can you easily get the compressor?
Warranty, what is the time of the warranty and how easy is getting the replacement?
Operating cost, it might do the same as the US compressor but is it cheaper to operate?
Parts, like the compressor it self can you get parts with ease?
These are some of the questions that I need to know when comparison shopping.
