How hot can a propane torch get? (not sure of type, bottle connected directly to nozzle)?

Not a tiger torch, the flame on this one is 3-4 inches and very concentrated.

Answer:
Wikipedia says that the flame temperature can get to 1995 °C/3623 °F, but that is when the flame is just burning without being applied to something that will take the heat away. They work fine to solder copper water pipes at up to about 240°C. They can heat relatively small things to higher temperatures.

Edit 1
I believe that you can solder aluminum with a special solder at a temperatures between 240°C and 490°C. This may be limited to rather small items and may be somewhat difficult.

Edit 2
A propane torch that has a bigger flame will have the same flame temperature but will be able to heat bigger items to hotter temperatures.
you have to buy a lead that connects to torch and bottle
