Where can I find a ball like this?

I am looking for a large sphere/ball for a science experiment. The sphere needs to be hard and durable enough to support one or two hundred lbs without permanently denting or deforming. It needs to have a diameter of between 12 to 24 inches. I would prefer plastic instead of metal, but I can use metal if needed.
Optimally, I would like to find a 2 inch think, 20 inch diameter, hollow sphere made of a hard plastic. Any suggestions are very welcome.

Something like a bolwing ball but twice as big would work. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Answer:
An ornamental concrete place might have a suitable sphere or the means to make one. If you can figure out how to make a mold, you could buy some concrete mix and make it yourself.

You could build up a sphere from layers of 3/4 inch plywood. Cut circles of graduated diameters and glue them together to make a rough sphere. Smooth it out with a draw knife or lathe and a sander.

You might be able to build up a sphere from layers of sheet plastic, but it might be pretty expensive and the plastic might be difficult to work with. You can buy plexiglas in sheets at least 1/4 inch thick.
