Which engineering branch is most suitable for pursuing higher studies in space science?

I have completed my +2 .I was not able to get admission to aerospace/aeronautical engg. in a recognized institute. Which other common branch shall i choose so that I will be able to switch over to the field of space science after my B Tech?

I have a degree in electrical engineering and I work in the aerospace field, building avioncs for space flight. If you want to deal with more of the mechanical aspects of rocketry and satellites, then you should study M.E.

i think ur choice must depend on what u want to do
aerospace : u design and supervise air crafts and missiles design
aeronautical : u design and build navigation systems and such stuff
astophysics : design the objectives of space missions and study space structure and theories
EEE ,then pursue ur special interest in PG
