Who invented the spiral winder ?

i work for sonoco that makes paper tubes im wondering who invented the spiral winder thats used to make tubes

Answer:
Marvin Stone should be credited with that, as in 1888, he patented the spiral winding process to manufacture the first paper drinking straws. It was no stretch to make more durable and larger tubes.

In 1906, he designed a machine to take over the hand winding that had been done up until then.
