Exaust piping?

everyone knows that a bigger diameter pipe on the end of a muffle makes a deeper performance sound...but how much piping do u have to have to achive this?

If you're thinking about changing the pipes on an automobile, be very carefull, engines are designed to run on certain amounts of back pressure, too much or too little could damage the engine.
