What are some sig. draw backs of the material, and I mean any draw backs that will effect performance... no need to know what I'm using it for, it is a general question
Answer:
I've included a link to a great site for material properties, and UHMW-PE specifically. It floats, barely, and yields (bends) a lot before breaking. I've always seen it used as a standard plastic, though I'm frankly not sure why one would or wouldn't choose it over another like nylon or something.
Sorry, not an engineer nor do I know what UHMW-PE stands for... but if I did, I'd answer your question!
