Considering cost and ease of installation; what is the best choice of AM tx antenna for 530 kHz frequency?
Answer:
A simple Dipole antenna.
A 8.75 meter long piece of horozontal wire (Lambda / 32)
A dipole would have to be 1/2 * (3E8/530KHz) = 283 meters long. A 1/32 long wire needs a ground too, which will radiate and mess things up. If you do use a 1/32 long wire, it will need a loading coil to match it to your transmitter.
This antenna is not as simple as a receiver antenna, if you expect any kind of efficiency.
I guess a loaded dipole may work. As long as you can. Dont worry about the 45 degrees. And in fact the two legs of the dipole dont have to be 180 degrees apart if space is limited. The main thing is you have to match the antenna to the Tx.
