It really depends on your area and what field you actually get into. There are five main areas of civil engineering:
geotechnical
water resources (includes drainage, water supply and sewer)
transportation
structural
environmental
The pay for each field will be different depending on the demand in your area. For reference, I am a civil engineer in CA working in the water industry. You can expect around $100k here for a regular PE.
