What height wood a party balloon reach filled with helium we let one go outside and just wondered?

Answer:
Most party balloons are filled with a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure at ground level. As it rises the air pressure gets less and so the differnce between the balloon and air increases - increases the strain on the balloon and it might burst.

The height it reaches depends on may factors - the size of the balloon, the temperature, where you launch it, sun light, how pure the helium is, lots of factors so its hard to give a straigh forward answer
As the balloon goes higher and higher the temperature gets colder and colder. As the air gets colder, the volume of the helium goes lower (it appears to shrink). Hence the density of the balloon gets larger. When the density of the baloon becomes equal to the density of the air it will stop rising. At a point it will start falling. As it falls, it warms up then gets bigger and rises.
