Conversion of 1 metre to 1 yard (1 metre = ? yard)?

Answer:
1 meter = 1.0936133 yards
there are 1.0936 yards in a meter and f.y.i there are 0.9144 meters in a yard :)
1 meter = 1.09 yards
The inch is now defined internationally to be 25.4mm exactly, and the yard contains 36 inches.

So 1 yard = (36 x 25.4) / 1000 = 0.9144 metre (exactly) and 1 metre = 1000 / (36 x 25.4) = 1.093613298 yard or 39.37007874 inches (approximately).

If you don't like using decimals with inches you can convert the odd 0.37007874, as near as dammit, to 3/8 inch.
Metre ÷ 0.9144 = yards ... 1 m = 1.094 yards
= 36 &3 &3/10ths inches
