Hey flashman thanks for the reply?

Thing is I would like to monitor the temperature of teh centre of my specimen only, so see temperature variations with time etc.. so the pyrometer should keep moving in such a way that the spot is on the same point always. So how do i do this, gettin the pyro to move soo accurately??

Answer:
I'm assuming thermocouple type pyrometer. If you have a moving sample, you will just have to keep up with it.
